Men's Aftercare and Support Group in Hamilton
The aftercare/support group is for adult males who have completed their sentence for a sexual offence or have never been charged or convicted but acknowledge a sexual disorder (e.g., pedophilia, voyeurism, exhibitionism, frotteurism, coercive sexual violence, atypical paraphilias and paraphilia related disorders.

Before you can participate in group therapy, the client will have to be assessed for suitability. Most of the group participants have completed a sex abuse treatment program either in the community or within a correctional environment. The participant should have some basic knowledge of relapse, self-regulation and Good Lives Model. The treatment program is utilizing the principles of cognitive-behaviour therapy (CBT).
The group offers a safe, confidential and judgment-free place to discuss relapse and other issues facing men with sexual disorders.
The group is facilitated by Alan Kaine, MA, RSW and Andrea Bevan BSW RSW. Alan Kaine has been providing assessment and treatment services for men with sexual disorders for 32 years. Andrea Bevan has been providing assessment and treatment services for men with sexual disorders for 14 years.
There are two aftercare groups that meet once a month in Hamilton (Saturday morning) and in St. Catharines (Monday evening) for one and a half hours.
There is a nominal fee to attend the group. Currently, we have a waiting list for Hamilton.
